Jiggler Picks- Another Method of Lock Picking

specialized entry training

Jiggler picks are highly effective tools when used correctly. They essentially serve as two-tools-in-one, which significantly speeds up your entry. You’ll be trained on how to use them, as well as the missteps to avoid. As a matter of fact, we have a video in the Restricted Section on their correct use and common mistakes. Jigglers are just one method of entry that fall under the lock picking component of our class.

Lock Picking

Your lock picking training will consist of extensive hands-on practice of over 150 locks. This is true saturation training; nearly the entire time you’re in class, you’ll have locks and lock picks in your hands. The range of locks include a cross section of locking devices you’re going to encounter in the field:

  • Knob locks,
  • Deadbolts
  • Padlocks
  • Vehicles
  • Elevator control panels
  • Strongboxes
  • File cabinets, aircraft and many, many more

You’ll learn to identify the various lock brands, including their strengths, weaknesses and where they’re typically found. Since lock picking is a critical component of our course, you’ll be knowledgable on selecting the correct pick and more importantly, it’s correct usage. Picking locks is only difficult if you start off on the wrong foot. We make sure you’re a success.

Lock Bypassing

There are occasions when picking a lock isn’t the most field expedient method of entry. You’ll learn how to immediately identify those circumstances and instead, use a bypass technique. Bypass instruction will include the damage-free defeat of:

  • Electronic locks
  • Magnetic locks
  • Keypads
  • Mechanical pushbutton locks
  • Consumer-grade safes and strongboxes
  • Vehicles
  • Combination locks
  • Commercial doors
  • Commercial hardware
  • Hotel room doors
  • Garage doors
  • Residential knob locks, deadbolts, padlocks, gates, lever handles and many, many more.

We’ll also cover:

  • Making your own custom tools as well as the use of commercially available tools
  • Acquiring working keys
  • Physical security assessment prior to entry
  • Ethical and legal considerations
